Reid Zakos Artist Matching/Comarketing Interview

17-Mar-2021 By Phil Harrington Leave a Comment

Canadian singer-songwriter Reid Zakos has comarketed with Jayden Mckenzie. Here’s what he had to tell us about his comarketing experience:

What do you think the future holds for artist partnering in general?

I think it’s a great way for both artists to grow.

Could you tell us a little about your music and where you are from?

I’m an electronic pop artist and songwriter and I was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. I grew up in a musical family versed in jazz. My dad was a jazz piano player and played with a few different bands when I was really young. However, I was always drawn to pop music, electronic dance music, and musical theatre styles. I started writing my own songs when I was 11, and idolized performers like Gwen Stefani, Michael Jackson, and Lady Gaga. I released my first full album “Legends & Myths” in April 2020.

Have you previously partnered in any way with other artists? If so, could you tell us about that?

I was featured on a song with Jayden Mckenzie in 2019. We co-marketed and promoted our single on social media and have performed it live together a few times.

What inspired you to match and co-market with other youbloom artists?

Getting the most of the whole youbloom experience, and I figured it couldn’t hurt.

Alesia XO Artist Matching/Comarketing Interview

17-Mar-2021 By Phil Harrington Leave a Comment

American artist Alesia XO has comarketed with fellow musician Paul Moleta. Here’s what she had to tell us about her experience:

“I think artist partnering needs to be part of my future – I think in this rapidly changing landscape, we’ll need to be open to collabing, and to sling shotting one another forward.” Alsia XO

Could you tell us a little about your music and where you are from?

I am originally from Texas, but have spent most of my life in Los Angeles, because that’s where my mama settled. I am a mutt, which is evident in my music, which is a hybrid of rock & soul, country- blues. I love it all and everything that comes out of my mouth seems to embrace it all. I started creating songs, born of emotions I couldn’t process, before I actually write and just never stopped. I started singing then as well and made my way to any church choir that would have me, starting at 5 years old. I love music. I love writing. I love singing and I love performing. It is all one big cathartic exercise and my life’s building block.

Have you previously partnered in any way with other artists? If so, could you tell us about that?

I am always partnering with other artists. I can’t create what I hear on my own. I enjoy the collaboration of other creators and am constantly in awe of the talent I get to be around. There is SOOOO much room for my growth and I guess I am lazy in that, because of other collaborators – I have never felt alone in the music world. Never felt that I HAVE to do it alone. I have a great writing partner in Steve Dole, who also performs with me. We call our partnership DoleHumphries. I have also had the opportunity to work with so many other super talented writers and players, like Leslie Barker on a song for a family film called Toby’s Big Adventure. I can’t say enough for all of the people whom I call friends that have given so much of their time and talent to me.

What inspired you to match and co-market with other youbloom artists?

I really loved the idea and opportunity to meet, to work with, to collaborate with and potentially grow with, talent I might not have otherwise met.

What do you think the future holds for artist partnering in general?

I think it needs to be part of my future – I think in this rapidly changing landscape, we’ll need to be open to collabing, and to slingshotting one another forward.

Do you have any insights or suggestions on how youbloom can improve the artist matching and comarketing experience?

No. I think you all are doing just fine without my input. LOL

Amanda Grace Artist Matching/Comarketing Interview

17-Mar-2021 By Phil Harrington Leave a Comment

Amanda Grace has comarketed with The Blue Dolphins. Here’s what she had to tell us about her experience:

“Youbloom is connecting artists all around the world for a real partnership in the now by requiring each other to promote one another. It’s a genius idea!” Amanda Grace

Have you previously partnered in any way with other artists? If so, could you tell us about that?

I have done a couple of collaborations but definitely not enough. My life is sometimes busier than I wish. I did a co-release with an artist named Prime Blaq a few years back on a song called, “Los Angeles” – it was all done through sending tracks back and forth with the producer and pretty easy actually after I did my vocal/guitar parts.

What inspired you to match and co-market with other youbloom artists?

I really liked the positivity of the Blue Dolphins single they were pushing. It was such a key time to be playing about getting through things and reminding others that we are able to do hard things. I think it’s a great tool to get to know other artists and youbloom is right on about requiring them to work together and support each other.

What do you think the future holds for artist partnering in general?

I think it will continue to be strong and a vital part of success.

Would you consider giving us an artist matching/comarketing testimonial we can share with other artists and fans?

I think it was smart to have shown a youtube video and do the interview combination. There is so much that can go wrong in streaming that it was a wise move!
