Affordable Alternatives to Eventbrite for Musicians | Youbloom

25-May-2025 By Faye Wang

Looking for an Eventbrite alternative that doesn’t eat into your concert profits? Youbloom offers independent musicians a more affordable ticketing platform with all the essential features you need without the premium price tag that major platforms charge.

Why Musicians Need Better Eventbrite Alternatives

Eventbrite has become expensive for many independent artists. For musicians already working with tight budgets, these costs quickly add up. Additionally, Eventbrite’s focus on large corporate events means smaller music venues often get overlooked.

Many musicians also struggle with Eventbrite’s complex interface and limited customization options. You need a platform that understands the music industry’s unique needs.

Youbloom: The Smart Eventbrite Alternative

Youbloom was built specifically for musicians who want Eventbrite alternatives that actually work for their needs. Our platform offers several key advantages:

Lower Fees: Keep more of your ticket revenue with transparent pricing designed for independent artists and local bands.

Music-Focused Features: Unlike general event platforms, we understand concert promotion, fan engagement, and music venue requirements.

Simple Setup: Create events in minutes, not hours. Focus on your music instead of wrestling with complicated ticketing systems.

Direct Fan Connection: Build your email list and maintain relationships with supporters through integrated marketing tools.

Making the Switch is Easy

Whether you’re planning intimate acoustic sessions or energetic small venue concerts, youbloom scales to fit your needs. Most musicians find our platform more intuitive than Eventbrite, with better customer support focused on music industry needs.

Ready to try a better Eventbrite alternative? Join hundreds of independent artists who’ve made the switch to youbloom for more affordable, musician-friendly event ticketing.

Sell Concert Tickets as Independent Musician | YouBloom

24-May-2025 By Faye Wang

Many independent musicians want affordable ways to sell concert tickets. They don’t want to rely on big platforms like Ticketmaster. YouBloom offers a different solution. It’s built for local bands and indie artists who want control, lower costs, and direct fan connection.

Big Platforms Are Eating Your Profits

Traditional ticketing platforms charge huge fees. They can take 15-20% of your ticket sales. For independent musicians on tight budgets, this hurts. These costs can turn a profitable show into a break-even event.

Many platforms also create other problems. They require long approval processes. They charge setup fees. They use complex systems that waste your time. You’d rather spend that time making music.

Why Musicians Love YouBloom

YouBloom gets the challenges that independent artists face. Our platform helps you sell concert tickets better:

Lower Fees: Keep more money with our fair pricing. We designed it for indie musicians and local bands.

Full Control: Manage your events, pricing, and fan talks directly. No middleman takes over your fan relationships.

Quick Setup: Start selling tickets in minutes. Our system is simple. Focus on music, not tech problems.

Real Stories from Real Musicians

Sarah is a folk singer from Portland. She lost $300 in fees on her coffee shop concert. Then she switched to YouBloom. Now she keeps that money for gear and marketing.

The Midnight Sons are a band from Austin. They used our fan tools to build an email list of 500+ fans. Other platforms don’t let you access your fan data.

Start Selling Today

YouBloom works for all show types. Coffee shop acoustic sets. Small venue rock shows. We scale to fit your needs.

Here’s how easy it is: Create your event. Set your prices. Start selling right away. No long approval waits.

Ready to keep more of your money? Want stronger fan connections? Join the growing group of independent artists who choose YouBloom for easy, affordable ticket sales.

February Virtual World Tours Review Calgary – Ottawa – Dublin

14-May-2021 By Brandy Corlett Leave a Comment

youbloom hosted its inaugural virtual world tour on February 25-27, 2021. The tours were held in three cities: Calgary and Ottawa in Canada, and Dublin in Ireland and showcased emerging music from around the world. The performing acts were The Blue Dolphins, Ashley Pater, Reid Zakos, and Loss.  In addition to the performance, a local youbloom CityRep hosted a Q&A after each show.

The Blue Dolphins are a folk-rock duo from Los Angeles, CA. Their performance highlighted their perfectly harmonized voices with their soothing acoustic sound. Their song “You’re Not Alone” struck a poignant chord, particularly in these pandemic times. Similarly, their stunning execution of last year’s singles, “Invincible” and “Light in Dark Places” really showed off their musical range.

Ashley Pater is a singer songwriter from Vancouver, Canada.  She performed an intimate set with just an acoustic guitar. Pater’s sensual velvet tones are often compared to that of Billie Eilish and were expressed beautifully in the performances of her songs, “Honey” and “Without You”. She continued her stunning alt-pop-rock set with “Little Blue” and “Hey You” to a highly receptive audience.

Calgary based electro-pop artist, Reid Zakos performed at the Calgary and Ottawa shows.  His music and stage presence captivated the audience, particularly with his wardrobe changes during the set – alternating several different colored jackets between songs. Zakos showed his expert stage presence, even through the challenges of digital shows, performing his enigmatic tunes, “Smoke”, “Falling”, “Neon”, and “Gladiator”.

Loss are a heavy metal rock band from Belo Horizonte, Brazil. They had the opportunity to perform upon the Dublin virtual show. Their passion and drive was hit home by their powerful guitar riffs and energetic, rock-and-roll vibe. They carried a compelling message with their songs, touching on the violence and social unrest dominating our culture. Their set included their song, “The Fear” and tracks from their new EP,  “Let’s Go” and “Burn Inside”.

The youbloom Virtual World Tour prides itself upon a wide range of musical styles, connecting musical artists by passion, message and relatability, not just genre.  Each performer has their own unique style and sound, yet there is always something that youbloom felt were akin to each other. The three tours were exciting to watch and featured great new music, enthusiastic audience participation, and interesting stories about each artist/band.

Find out more information about how to request these artists to come and perform in a city near you at www.youbloom.com.

How To Plan A Concert Tour

28-Jan-2021 By Leave a Comment

An estimated 5% of total revenue from the music industry goes to emerging artists, meaning it can be hard to get show opportunities. Our mission at youbloom is to showcase these artists. With COVID affecting the music industry, revenue is more important than ever for all performers. When looking over revenue for the overall industry, over 75% of the overall industry money goes to a few hundred superstars.

Adopt-a-Band helps with lowering costs for artists

Many things impact a live performance. Artist/band partnerships can occur by using the Adopt-a-Band program to lower tour costs for youbloom partner artists. As one band assists another band or artist in taking care of costs, they earn transferable “Adopt a Band”points that can be used with other bands who adopt them in return. It is a system that allows everyone involved to get benefits no matter what.

Street Teams spread the word about performances

Even if live shows are COVID limited, touring costs are always a worry. youbloom encourages fans to join in promoting music via the Street Team program, which gives fans a chance to spread the word about an artist’s music no matter their location and earn rewards in the process. Live performance does not have to be limited to the hometown of an artist, Street Teams, groups of fans who are promoting artists in their respective cities, can help in spreading the word and getting more fan requests for artists who might be able to perform down the road.

Ticket Sales are critical in determining profit

Ticket sales are central in determining profits from a concert. Networks like youbloom can positively influence how many fans attend your performance. youbloom allows fans to request concerts and give their favorite bands more exposure as a result. By increasing fan requests, youbloom gives CityReps the confidence that they will sell out a show they put on with youbloom.

CityReps help promote concerts when no one else might

With fan, artist requests, youbloom promoters can find the right artists to book.. These promoters, CityReps, are located in different cities worldwide. Concert requests make them aware of the right acts to showcase.

youbloom can assist in all parts of getting a concert together

If you are having trouble finding someone to book shows for you, youbloom can be a great way to go. Just sign up on youbloom.com to get started. There is plenty of guidance available to take you through the steps to getting booked into shows and tours.
